Church is the People

And in rural areas of Northern Uganda, the Church is often homeless. The believers gather under tarps, mango trees, and in the sunshine just outside the mud houses of individual believers.

We have a burden to provide shelter to the homeless Church,
assisting local pastors and evangelists to establish congregations where they’ve never been before.

Here’s How it Works:

1. Work with Local Leaders

Church planting begins with prayer, open-air & door-to-door outreaches, discipleship, and local fundraising. Many pastors, evangelists, and partner organizations are engaged in this work already. We come alongside them to boost their work.

2. Build Physical Structures

Our “sheds” provide basic structures that can shelter the church. Brick foundations, poles, trusses, and a roof are the most expensive elements and get them started. Once we’ve built these, the local church will add on walls, windows, doors, etc.

3. Grow Strong Churches

When believers see the fulfillment of their prayers for basic shelter, they are filled with faith. We’ve seen churches multiply four times in three months after finally settling into their new building. Churches are being planted from these new bases.

Salvation Sheds are More Than a Building.

We’re resourcing the Church to meet spiritual needs. And through our Journey Centers, the Church becomes the hands and feet of Jesus in their local communities. We believe the people of God should lead the way in showing compassion, serving, and sharing the Good News about Jesus.
