On a recent Journey to visit some of the children suffering from Nodding Syndrome (NS) one of our Journey International team members encountered Steven and his siblings at a local town center. Steven and his siblings were struggling to find shelter and food. Steven suffers from NS, and is one of the older children in the family who is responsible for his younger siblings.
The hard part of this story is Steven was surviving on food meant for the pigs. The good news is the Lord has connected Journey International with Steven, his mom, and family. We can now be the hands and feet of Jesus in bringing resources that will help lift them up and give them hope.
“And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything.”
Luke 15:16
As we celebrate the coming of Emmanuel (God with us) in this season. We just want to pause and give God the Glory and thank you for giving a tangible gift of hope to those in desperate need.
