As we sat at the dining room table with one of our Ugandan sons, he looked over at the four foot tall papier mâché giraffe in our living room and exclaimed:
“You and Mom are like that Giraffe!
God has shown me that he has given you looonnng legs and a looonng neck, so that you can see above the grass and see what is out in front of you and others. He has created and gifted you like this so you can share with others what you see and how to lead them. It will take others to help fulfill the vision and direction.
It will take others to Journey with you as go forward with ministry. He will put people in your path on both sides of the world that need salvation, freedom, and healing. God will use the ministry to disciple others and help them reach their potential.”
Wow! We have never thought we would be giraffes! We take this as a prophetic and encouraging word and are equally excited to see what the Lord has for so many of us through this Journey. Even if we are just one of the animals, all are needed to accomplish the direction and will of God. Thankfully we have one another for vision, protection, provision, encouragement, and most of all relationship. All the animals are needed!
